The Cities of Fairway, Roeland Park and Westwood are excited to announce the return of our joint July 3rd fireworks show to celebrate Independence Day. The public fireworks display will take place on Sunday, July 3rd at Bishop Miege High School at dark (between 8:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.). The July 3rd fireworks celebration has been a tradition for many years and we are proud to bring it back together. Thank you to Bishop Miege and the St. Agnes Parish for continuing to partner with us on the show as well.
Roeland Park's Firework Ordinance
The City of Roeland Park asks that residents adhere to the Fireworks Ordinance, which was drafted to keep residents safe and neighborhoods enjoyable for all.
Other than the public display on July 3rd, only novelty wire sparklers, novelty snakes, snappers, novelty smoke devices and cone fountains are allowed in Roeland Park and limited to July 4th between the hours of noon and 10pm. Fireworks are not allowed to be set off in the streets or any private property, such as school parking lots. Bottle rockets or fireworks that are shot into the air are not allowed.
We hope everyone is able to enjoy Independence Day safely!
